The Location Scouts

I have worked as a location manager and scout for over 20 years, covering commercials, TV, independent films and Hollywood ( in London) blockbusters. Some of the projects which are listed below.

As well as the day job, I teach photography and location scouting to youngsters finding their way in the industry on the ALMT Course and I'm a also a sometime location consultant to Warner Brothers UK, working across their upcoming slate of feature films.

Speaking to people on my travels, it became clear that whilst many people ware interested in having their house used in Film and TV productions, they mostly didn't know how to go about it.

 

From an industry standpoint, there is a lack of fresh properties being signed up with the agencies, with self-referrals  often accompanied by poor photography and unreliable logistical information.

 

It's from this that The Location Scouts came about, aiming to match new locations with industry need through professional photography, accurate logistical information and a targeted approach to getting signed with the right location agency.
